Video: A new glove that converts sign language into spoken words for only $ 100
A team of researchers at the University of California has developed new gloves that convert sign language in English into written speech.
The research team relied on the movement of the fingers to the blades, where the straight fingers are converted to 1, while the fingers are tilted to 0, and this enables the movement to capture the accuracy of large and high and converted to the characters that the movement means.
The team said that it relied on speed and pressure sensors in the design of the glove, so that it can distinguish between characters similar to the letters j and i, they have the same configuration with a slight difference in shape.
Surprisingly, this adopted technique cost the glove industry not more than $ 100, which makes it possible to produce and use the idea as a commercial product.
